Sometimes when an accident occurs, for a multitude of different reasons, the scene is not preserved or has been altered in some way since the time of the accident.  This can present challenges for investigators.  To overcome these challenges we use 3D modeling software to recreate an accident scene that has been altered or destroyed to the conditions as close as possible to the way they were on the day of the incident. The models give our experts a perspective of the accident scene that would not be achievable given the present state of the site.   The program uses data collected from sources such as the original site plans, photos from the scene the day of the accident, and drone imaging to create a 3 dimensional rendering that reconstructs the scene with a level of detail that would not otherwise be feasible.
